The launch of the Pixel 4a this week also included the first official acknowledgement of the Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 phones, which Google said would launch ‘later this spring’. The Google France Blog however appears to have gotten more specific announcing the phones would be available to pre-order from October 8th.
The blog from Didier Goibert, Hardware & Services Director, Google France has since been updated, but as noted by 9to5Google, the Google cache version still contains the information.
Then Pixel 4a will first start shipping in the US and Japan on August 20, before following in Canada and Australia on September 10th. European countries including the UK, Germany and Ireland on October 1st which may make for a crowded launch window.
Will it launch October 8th? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ We’ll find out soon enough.
