As the Chinese New Year approaches, Andrew Bell from Dead Zebra has announced a new Android Mini to celebrate the upcoming Year of the Ox.
The 3″ figure comes in either ‘Dark Ox’ or ‘Chrome Gold Ox’ with a 50/50 chance of getting one or the other. The figure comes with a gold ingot accessory it can hold as well.
As far as getting your hands on one, the news is that there’s a bit of a wait. Andrew primarily designs and distributes the Chinese New Year figure in the Asia-Pacific region as well as to Google employees. The good news is that he has secured a small run for international sales through the Dead Zebra website however US Customs are apparently dragging the chain.
The Chinese New Year has been a popular series for Dead Zebra, previously launching the Year of the Rat in 2020, Year of the Pig in 2019, Year of the Dog in 2018, Golden Rooster in 2017 and ‘Red Pocket Chinese New Year’ figure with red envelope in 2016. There’s also been dancing lion figures, and other Chinese themed editions. If you want to complete your set, the Year of the Ox will be a nice addition.
