Google’s ‘Launch Night In’ is leaking like a sieve with details and renders of the Pixel 5 leaking yesterday, and today the Pixel 4a (5G) has similarly leaked.
The leak comes courtesy of Roland Quandt over at WinFuture.de who confirms pretty much all the details that have been rumoured for months.
According to Quandt, the Pixel 4a (5G) will include a 6.2-inch OLED panel with FHD+ (2340×1080) resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate covered with Gorilla Glass 3.
Under the hood, the phone will include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765e processor, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of on-board storage – no, Google doesn’t include microSD cards in their phones.
Interestingly Google will include the same camera setup as the Pixel 5 with a 12.2MP main sensor and 16MP wide-angle (107°) sensor that supports 1080p slow-mo capture at 240FPS as well as 4K60fps video recording. On the front you’ll get an 8MP with 83° Field-Of-View.
The big difference between the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a (5G) will of course be the polycarbonate body on the Pixel 4a (5G) and of course you’ll get a headphone jack.
For convenience here’s a comparison table of the 2020 Pixel range:
