Google is holding an Assistant Developer Day in October and we’re getting new stuff!

Google’s release strategy is a schmozzle for 2020, but we’re getting almost back on track with an October event set for October 8th to announce new Google Assistant ‘stuff’.

The Actions on Google Twitter account shared the news last week, where they promised, most excitingly, ‘New Product Announcements’. Given the timeline it’s likely the Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 will be announced by then, and given the Assistant focus, I’m betting on new Nest Speaker, and possibly new Android TV dongle.

A follow up tweet has linked to the registration page for the event, which also houses an agenda for the days events.

The event will kick off at 10am Pacific time with a keynote hosted by Danny Bernstein, Managing Director, Global Product Partnerships at Google and Baris Gultekin, Product Management Director, Google Assistant, Google.

The event is likely where we’ll see the upcoming new Nest speaker, and possibly the new Android TV ‘Sabrina’ dongle.

We’ll soon find out. Are you tuning in?
